A glittering career sometimes hides the most piteous stories underneath. Winner of the USA and World championships in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after plenty of effort and immense amount of patience. Born to a single mother in a family of five kids, Jones had a difficult and impoverished childhood. Her mother lived along the road and even within the basement of a church in the area in the past. Jones was required to relocate to a different school each year up until her senior year due to this sporadic lifestyle. Jones was kept apart from her parents at Theodore Roosevelt in order to compete in athletics in track and field. Jones lived in four different homes during her high school time to pursue her education in one place. Jones won an award called the Gatorade track and field Athlete of the Award at high school.
